This is not an official Swank diet answer but I do know Dr. Andrew Weil does not recommend canola oil due to the possibility of high residual pesticides in the oil and he feels the omega 3 and omega 6 ratios are not optimal in it. He stongly recommends olive oil for about everything. Dr Weil agrees with many of Dr. Swank's recommendations for MS including avoiding saturated fats and emphasizing eating healthy oils from fish and by using olive oil.
