Dr. Swank ordered Vicodin 500 or 750 for me when my back hurt really bad. I tried it for a migraine and it didn't do much. I find Excedrin Migraine works better than one might expect from an OTC med. I know there is a really strong one for the face nerve problem but would have to look it up if that is your pain area.
