: Regarding Avonex. I am an R.N. with M.S. for 22 years. I understand that Avonex is the least effective pharmateutical for M.S. Second Best is Beta-Seron and the best at this time is Co-Paxone. However, I am in a relapse after working too hard, single mom, teenage age 18, starting a new Retirement/Assisted living...I did not take enough oil, I was so stressed and the symptoms in my experience are kind of a delayed response. It could be relationships, other health issues, children, work etc. that make a 'fluctuation' of symptoms, Dr Swank would say. NO Beef. No cheating. It gets easier and easier as time goes by. As an R.N. I said I had a choice of living or dying. I choose to live. Now the MS Center I see has encouraged me to try one of the Pharmaceuticals. I will not at this time. Rest, Oil, Fresh Frozen Plasma infusions, tranquilizers, prayer, meditation etc. do the trick. Stick with Swank. I am 48 and returning to work parttime after working fulltime and that was a mistake. Also I am seeing a Naturopath. Eat Right for your Blood type is a book out and I am following it. My Naturopath has had good results with his regime and he supports Dr. Swank. He is John Soileau in Spokane, WA This is a way of life on the Swank regime. It is not a quick fix. Stay strong.
